SEHD Dean's Ambassadors

The Dean’s Student Ambassadors are student leaders in the School of Education and Human Development. They will be happy to share information about their campus experiences with you via Zoom or on your campus visit.

If you are planning a campus visit and wish to attend a general information session to learn about the School and its curricula, please use this link to sign up. Sessions are scheduled on Fridays, Noon – 1 p.m. January 30 through May 1. Seating is limited.

MEET OUR AMBASSADORS

 

Micaela Greenfield

Sophomore
Community and Applied Psychological Studies major / Education minor 

Micaela Greenfield has a passion for working with kids, over the past few summers, she has spent her time researching kid’s social and emotional development. Based off this experience, combined with the courses she has taken in SEHD, she hopes to continue making an impact in the community for years to come.

Emily Goldstein

Junior
Community and Applied Psychological Studies and Psychology major / History and Dance minor

Emily Goldstein, originally from Massachusetts, has a strong interest in mental health which has motivated her future career goals. She hopes to become a psychotherapist for children and adolescents focusing on intergenerational trauma or sexual abuse as well as get involved in the community through volunteer and nonprofit work.

Sebastian Borges

Junior
Exercise Physiology, Pre-med

Sebastian Borges is involved in various extracurriculars on campus including the President’s 100 Leadership Program and Phi Delta Epsilon, pre-med fraternity. He enjoys volunteering around the city and plans to soon matriculate into the Miller School of Medicine through the Medical Scholars Program. In the future, he hopes to stay within Miami and give back to the community.

Kevin Weitman

Sophomore
Sport Administration and History major / Business Law minor 

Kevin Weitman has a passion for sports, currently working with the UM football team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In the future, he hopes to work in the sports industry. In his free time, he enjoys attending ‘Canes sporting events and giving back to the community by volunteering and participating in beach clean-ups.
